The shipyard is on the Gulf County Canal which is dredged by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and connects St. Joe Bay with the Intracoastal Waterway.
Our geographical location in the Florida panhandle is advantageous by allowing work to continue in the warm weather year-round.
Deep-water port facilities are found where the Gulf County Canal meets the bay in Port Saint Joe.
Gulf County Shipbuilding is committed to the Gulf County community and employs a number of local workers. As we grow, we anticipate filling most of our new positions from Gulf County’s pool of talented tradespeople.
